About Marquis Entertainment
Marquis Entertainment has established itself as a leader in the international theatre industry with a focus on Licensing, Producing and General Managing plays/productions for both national and international markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Germany/Austria/Switzerland, France, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and South Africa.
Co-Founded in 1996 by Judy Richardson and Robert Richardson, and joined by Colin Rivers in 2002, Marquis Entertainment was launched with the intention to represent and produce select Canadian theatrical plays/productions in order to foster national and international growth for these properties on a commercial level.
Since its inception, Marquis Entertainment has grown into a full service operation that also produces/general manages theatrical productions and live events on behalf of organizations that do not have the infrastructure or the expertise to do so themselves. Through this, the company provides much needed guidance in an industry often characterized by instability and uncertainty.
Marquis Entertainment is associated with a diverse roster of associate artistic and production personnel who provide services in technical management, marketing, publicity, graphic design, and group sales.
To this day, Marquis Entertainment is highly regarded by industry leaders and continues to receive referrals from companies both in Canada and around the globe. In an industry ruled by short-term contracts, Marquis Entertainment has had numerous clients stay with the company for many years through multiple projects.
Marquis Entertainment is proud of its longstanding associations with Mirvish Productions, Broadway Across America/Live Nation Canada, Ross Petty Productions, Just for Laughs, Shochiku Co. Ltd. (Japan), Backrow Productions (UK), Granada (Australia), Burberry Productions (Australia), Dainty Productions (Australia), The Touring Consortium (UK), Flying Music Co.
